Dear all,
I have released version 0.28 a few days ago.. just forgot to
announce
it. Please check the web site for details.
Anyways I think I will have to make a newer release because
of some
policy enforcement made by adobe flash player in its latest
release.
The latest flash player enforces policy files to allow
connections, and
now there is a "step 2" in flash players that are
more strict and
disallow socket connections despite html served policy
files. That means
that you won' t be able to connect to FOP even with a
crossdomain.xml
file in your web server.
So, I modify op_server.pl to serve a policy file by itself
to authorize
flash clients to connect to it. You no longer need to place
a
crossdomain.xml file in your web root and you do not need to
run a
policy server listening on port 843 either as Adobe suggest.
It seems to
work for me, but I would like to confirm with other users if
the
solution is good enough. When I am satisfied I will release
0.29 just
for this very important change.
If you have a FOP working implementation and update the
flash player and
are no longer able to connect to it (the buttons flash every
10
seconds).. please download the latest snapshot release or
the svn
version and try again (the only file you need to change is
op_server.pl,
the client does not have any changes)..
Thanks!

Hi Nicolas, I installed the new 0.29 after the adobe flash
player update
made my FOP go into the "christmas tree" mode.
(flashing green/red
lights) Unfortunatley in spite of this, I am still unable to
make it
work. I stopped the .27 version, downloaded the .29,
replaced the
contents of /var/www/panel with the op_server-0.29/flash
files and still
I have the same problem. Can you please help? Thank you!

Hi Linus,
The most important part is to replace op_server.pl that it
is not in the
/flash but on the tarball root. Not sure where it is on your
local file
system, depends on your particular installation.
Best regards,

hello Nicolas,
i have a request.. i don't know who i chatted with on the
website but he was helpful.. but unfortunatly my problem
where my panel loses timers was not solved..
not i have something in my mind.. i noticed that everytim i
do a "sip reload" command the timers are show back
and caller IDs..
is it possible to add that command to the panel so it would
reload the timers when someone opens it? and is it possible
that the command to be performed ONLY when the panel is
loaded?
Regards
Tarek

Linus,
replacing the files op_server.pl and the flash file you need
to add a line to yourop_server.cfg right ino the [general]
part which is the following
use_amportal_conf=1it worked for me.. i had a problem before
.. flash panel works fine on FireFox.. but on IE it doesn't
it keeps flashing.. doing what i said solved the problem and
now i can watch the panel on both browsers

I had done that, but I finally solved it. Did everything
back from
square one (download .29, install, change op_server.cfg
shutdown
service, restart and restart of client machine) and it
worked.
Thanks!
