Having full authz is definitely preferred. For our purposes
(so far), 
however, we managed to get away with requiring login for
editing 
(http://wiki.sharpdevelop
.net for example is using this approach).

Yeah, my goal is to do something that's a bit less of a
PITA. 
Hopefully
you can tell me if my approach sounds like it would make
your life easier or
harder.
