Sounds great!
Although would be nice to fix the bugs that makes it
impossible to edit
and add pages in the 2.0 branch before releasing it. Even
though it's an
alpha I think that's expected to work atleast some of the
time.

Subject: [Flexwiki-users] SourceForge Releases
OK, my free time just got a bit looser, so I'm trying to tie
up a few
FlexWiki loose ends. One of these is to push a couple of
releases over
to the SourceForge site. I think we should do two releases:
1) Release the latest 1.8 build as the "official,
recommended" build.
2) Release the latest 2.0 build as "FlexWiki 2.0
alpha".
The build on SourceForge is 1696, which is ancient. Not only
have many
bugs been fixed since then, but when people wander over to
the project
page and see "Last update 2005-12-02", they start
thinking "dead
project". And I don't like to think we're a dead
project.
It's probably wise to push 1.8.0.1739 (the latest 1.8 build)
out to
www.flexwiki.com for a few days first to see if it can take
some
hammering.
Any objections to that? I'll do it if I don't hear otherwise
in a few
days.
But I think I can take the 2.0 bits and just shove them
right up to
SourceForge, since they'll have the alpha label, so people
know what to
expect.
I'm still hoping someone will take the role of release
manager, because
we should really be doing this a lot more often than once a
year. :p We
did have one volunteer from whom I'm waiting to hear (pinged
him again
just recently), but this is definitely both one of the
easiest jobs on
the project (you don't need to have coding skills at all)
and something
that more than one person could do. So if you're interested
in helping
out, please let me know!
