You should be able to simply delete the files – unless you set
up a database store, which I doubt.
If you want to run on .NET 1.1 your only option is version 1.8
of FlexWiki. Version 2.0 of FlexWiki requires .NET 2.0. What version did you
download?

The OS is XP. Running IIS 5.1 and .NET 1.1 (Actually both 1.1
and 2.0 are on this machine). Starting over was my next step. What
do I need to delete from the current install to get a clean slate to begin
anew?
Thanks,

The 403 is generally a security problem. What operating system
are you running on?
The parse error could be due to not having DLLs in the right
place. You should have a directory structure that looks like this:
C:inetpubwwwrootflexwiki contains Default.aspx and
other aspx pages.
C:inetpubwwwrootflexwikibin contains flexwiki.dll,
flexwiki.web.dll, and a couple of other DLLs.
You didn’;t need to grab the source distribution or the tools
distribution. It might not be a terrible idea to start over with just the full
bin zip.
I
am trying to set up a wiki for use internally within the company. I have
followed the installation instructions found at the link http://www.flexwiki.com/default.aspx/FlexWiki/InstallingFlexWiki.html.
I extracted the zip files for the source, the full web-app, and the tools to
the Inetpub/wwwroot directory. I created the virtual directory, added
default.aspx to the documents tab of the virtual directory properties, and
added the ASPNET account with modify capabilities. I also set up the
Namespaces map and named my Namespaces accordingly. Running the
configuration Checker advises me that Flexwiki appears to be configured correctly.
However, I am still unable to display anything. I either get a 403 error,
or the following Parse error "Parser
Error Message: Could not load type 'FlexWiki.Web.Default2'
"
This
is my first attempt at this, so I'm obviously missing something. I just
can't find the error. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Success! Whatever the previous error, it appears that
deleting all the files from that installation and performing a brand new install
with just the full web-package did the trick. Most likely it was that I
was making the process more difficult than it really is.
Thanks.
