Uhmm, don't many Flickr users have dozens to hundreds of groups, to
expose their images to a bigger audience. How would you cope with, let's
say, ~20 groups in addition to your ~50 contacts? What about
high-traffic groups? They would quickly render the "new stuff"; indicator
useless, as it would be constantly on. And how should the Flock backend
cope with all the update checking?

I'm not convinced that Flock should automatically subscribe to all that.
It might be nice to let Flock list my contacts and/or groups, and
letting me check the ones I want to subscribe to.
