Hi,
I'm trying to add my flickr groups to my media bar... (not
in
feeds!) Can anyone help?
Thanks,
John

>From the group page on Flickr, click the pool link. You should see the media indicator turn orange. Click it and you can add the feed to the media bar. (Preview it first though, as when I tried it first it matched the name of my group with the feed of a related group which was also on the page)

Just remember that this only works with
Flock 0.9.1, which is currently in Flockstar beta (grab it at http://archive.flock.com/candidate/cormorant/0.9.1/04/)
and will be fully available on flock.com in the next couple of weeks.

btw - It would be great if in future you can get Flock to automagically add my groups like it adds my contacts. (Suppose it depends on what's available in the Flickr API.)
Thanks

I like the idea of a configuration step before the initial synchronization. This would be an opportunity to warn about performance implications of large numbers of feeds,contacts/groups,bookmarks etc.

Uhmm, don't many Flickr users have dozens to hundreds of groups, to expose their images to a bigger audience. How would you cope with, let's say, ~20 groups in addition to your ~50 contacts? What about
high-traffic groups? They would quickly render the "new stuff" indicator useless, as it would be constantly on. And how should the Flock backend cope with all the update checking?
I'm not convinced that Flock should automatically subscribe to all that.
It might be nice to let Flock list my contacts and/or groups, and letting me check the ones I want to subscribe to.
Just my 2ct, Thomas
