There is a program called Carbon Copy Cloner that is free that will
make an exact duplicate of your drive to the "larger" drive and make
it bootable. Once you've booted from the newer drive and confirmed
everything is working the way you want, you can erase the internal
drive to use it for other purposes. (like backing up data) You can
