Manipulating bookmarks from an external tool

Hi all,
I'm trying to work on a Conduit data provider for the
Epiphany
bookmarks, and I was wondering if there was any
straightforward way to
add/remove the bookmarks.
I looked at the ephy-bookmarks.xml file, but it seems that
it should not
be manipulated directly, and the rdf file seems to be only
an export of
the bookmarks, ie any changes to the rdf file from external
sources are
not registered by Epiphany.

TIA,
Sayamindu

A conduit data provider for epiphany would be excellent to
have!
Ideally that would mean I can scrap my epilicious plugin

I've always thought that a dbus-based bookmark (and possibly
history)
manager would make sense in GNOME. I vaguely remember some
mentions of
something along those lines on this list a while back.

I think currently the only way is to change bookmarks from
"inside"
epiphany, i.e. in a plugin.

Sorry for not being of more help, I was mostly interested in
letting you
know that your idea is worthwhile pursuing.

/M

*diego turns on the IMRAN-SIGNAL (ta-ra-ram, Im-ran).

This should be considered when the new bookmarks/history
backend is merged.
