bug 93991, validity of a mailto link

Is the link given as the 2nd example in bug 93991 valid?

A similar problem occurs for a masked email address, e.g. 
 <a href="mailto:user(a)host.com?body=Replace (a)
with  
character.">mailme</a> 
 opens the kmail composer window with the correct body text,
however, the 
email address occurs mangled as "a <>".
