THIW, during the last few days I've started a porting of
Ekiga, see

directly from the SVN repository (and not from the FreeBSD's
ports
collection); the reason was mainly driven by the hope of
staying with
the cutting edge of Ekiga and get support of codec H.264 to
make H.323
video conf calls to the central video conferencing system we
are using
in my company; work is still in progress, but if someone is
interested
in the actual port (or in debugging ), the work
