You can try using pipes for some kind of
consolidation (they are not meant for it,
of course).
You can also use skips like this:
skipto 1000 <type-a>
skipto 1000 <type-b>
...
skipto 1500 ip from any to any
And have rule number 1001 that counts all
the types you have defined.
Or you can try telling us precisely what you
want, we might come up with some rules.
