Emma,

I refer to your post at Apple Mailing List: 10Apr2006: did
you ever
find a solution to this problem?

This is what is showing in my error log:
Processing config directory:
/private/etc/httpd/users/*.conf
Processing config file:
/private/etc/httpd/users/+entropy-php.conf
Processing config file:
/private/etc/httpd/users/rosario.conf
[Tue Oct 16 17:15:00 2007] [notice] Apache/1.3.33 (Darwin)
PHP/5.2.4
configured -- resuming normal operations
[Tue Oct 16 17:15:00 2007] [notice] Accept mutex: flock
(Default: flock)
[Tue Oct 16 17:18:17 2007] [error] [client 123.456.7.8] File
does not
exist: /Library/WebServer/Documents/favicon.ico

I had experienced this problem in the past, as a result
edited the
httpd.conf file: ServerName to localhost. This corrected
most of the
problem only the :
[Tue Oct 16 17:18:17 2007] [error] [client 123.456.7.8] File
does not
exist: /Library/WebServer/Documents/favicon.ico
type error persisted.

Today I updated my system with an Apple system update and
the full
error has returned.

Emma, Have you any idea how I can correct these errors? I
am at my
wits end!

A speedy response would be appreciated.

thanks & Brgds

1) the IP adress is obviously wrong ... or do you have a
different ip
stack than the rest of the world?

2) i am pretty shure that you simply have no favicon.ico in
your
webroot. many browser request if, if it is there they show
it in your
browsers tabs. this is no error itsekf, it is perfectly ok
when you
have no such file.

not shure if you are on the right track there ...
