USB no longer goes away, but doesn't respond to Treo

But usbdevs shows the device.  From my usbd.conf:

So this problem is, at least, different.  I think that's
progress.  In the previous
iteration, the device didn't appear in usbdevs.  Now it just
seems unresponsive.

So, now what?
