DejaGnu framework version expected for gdb testing?

I have been noticing random testsuite issues popping up now
and again on
different hosts, and tracked it down to the version of
DejaGnu they were
running.

What is the required DejaGnu version that people test with?

The last release version was DejaGnu is 1.4.4 (30Jan2004)

However, Debian (http://packages.de
bian.org/dejagnu) uses a cvs snapshot from
20060709 (Daniel - since this is suffixed with -5, does that
mean you have
local Debian only changes?)

It seems as if most other distributions just plop in the
official (2004)
release.

Thanks
-Robin

I use:

    Expect version is 5.43.0
    Tcl version is 8.4
    Framework version is 1.4.4

I have noticed from experience that the Expect version is
important,
at least on certain OSes... I was having endless troubles
until I
upgraded.

Yes, though several of them are in upstream CVS too.

What sort of problems? Most seem to work, as long as it's
new enough
to have kfail.
