    I think I have run across a GMP configuration/build
problem on a
64-bit x86 Linux host. The problem is that if the
sources are
    configured as "none-pc-linux-gnu" then the
built gmp library
contains unresolved references to the symbols
__gmpn_add_nc and
    __gmpn_sub_nc:

This patch should solve that problem, although the name of
it might
suggest it is for something else:

com/gmp/patches/x86-fat.diff

Please confirm.

Confirmed, thanks!

Note - the patch did not include a change to gmp's top level

configure.in file, even though there was a change to the top
level
configure file. I assume that you were just making things
easy for me,
and that if the patch is applied the configure.in file will
be changed
as well ?

Cheers
   Nick

Well, no. It is a mistake that not both configure.in and
configure
are explicitly patched (in that order) by the diff file.
Anyway, as
long as you don't manually run autoconf there should be no
problem.

The configure change is irrelevant to the bug you reported.
The only
relevant change is the one to mpn/generic/addsub_n.c.
