I still have a difficulty with some values :
[self quotation]
So until since June 2005 we have the following CELEBRATE
values :
Drill and Practice
Exploration
Open Activity
Guide
Information Resource
Glossary
Tool
Assessment
and SCORM/LOM now propose the following:
Exercise
Simulation
Questionnaire
Diagram
Figure
Graph
Index
Slide
Table
Narrative text
Exam
Experiment
Problem statement
Self assessment
Lecture
So:
Drill and Practice -> Exercise
Exploration -> Simulation
Open Activity -> ? (like many in GCompris)
Guide -> Lecture ( = "course")
Information Resource -> Narrative text ?
Glossary -> ? (happily we don't have any in GNU Edu
database)
Tool -> ?
Assessment -> Exam (or self-assessment, but here also we
don't have many
in the DB yet)
I especially regret the value "Tool". I'd like to
write an extension to
the LOM schema, but that's a lot of work.
More generally, the former CELEBRATE values were less
schoolish, more
"open". And the new LOM values are closer to the
context in schools.
Any opinions?
