If this reply is a one-time thing, then you can simply
create a new
message with the same subject line, and copy those in the
sender list of
the original message, as well as the list itself. Note that
the message
id will be different on the reply, which will cause threaded
readers to
miss the connection, but you won't have access to the
original message id.
If you intend to take a more active role in responding to
messages, then
you should consider changing your membership to non-digest.
I keep a
folder for mailing list traffic from various lists, and
setup rules in
my email client to automatically move inbound messages from
these lists
to the correct folder. This helps me keep on top of the
traffic.
