Hi:
I subscribe as the digest format but I have no idea how to
reply the message
in it?
Could someone tell me how to do that?
Appreciate your help,
vichy

Vichy,

If this reply is a one-time thing, then you can simply
create a new
message with the same subject line, and copy those in the
sender list of
the original message, as well as the list itself. Note that
the message
id will be different on the reply, which will cause threaded
readers to
miss the connection, but you won't have access to the
original message id.

If you intend to take a more active role in responding to
messages, then
you should consider changing your membership to non-digest.
I keep a
folder for mailing list traffic from various lists, and
setup rules in
my email client to automatically move inbound messages from
these lists
to the correct folder. This helps me keep on top of the
traffic.

Not really; this depends on your email client and we're not
experts on
those here... you should ask for help on a list dedicated to
your email
client. Many more modern/advanced clients will have a way
to "explode"
a standard digest into a virtual folder or similar, where
you can read
and reply to individual messages in the digest.

If your email client doesn't offer functionality like this
then you're
reduced to cutting and pasting etc. Or, you can get a
better email
client.

Good luck!

Such as Emacs, for example, which has the
undigestify-rmail-message
command to do just that.
