No, there is not.

I'm not at all sure how you intend to use such a thing... I
don't see
very many, if any, ways to use it.

I strongly suspect that what you're writing in your
makefile is not
legal (and wouldn't be even if a $(MAKESTATUS) did exist
and contained
the value you're asking for).
