Hi,

let me jump in here. its some weeks ago, that I took a look
at a CVS
checkout, so these are only memories, and can be wrong.

- line numbers in the code window, and easy jumping to a
given line
- jumping from the debugger to a specific file and line
number, e.g. the
debugger stops at a given line, then clicking on the error
should open the
code in the editor window
- auto-complete in the editor window for methods, variables,
...

these are the most important things I can think of.

nevertheless, thanks so far for project center.

Sebastian

although these can be regarded as important things they are
not
essential.
The first features (jump to line) is very important, but the
other two
are non essential. Project builder has no autocomplete
either and I
worked with it for years. So they are surely not show
stoppers.

I would regard correct make file generation, make 2.0
compatibility,
bug absence and better flexibility with some file locations
(like
documentation, README, TODO, ChangeLog) more important in
the short
term for a 0.5 release.

Just my 2 cents,

Riccardo

I just thought of a feature that would be nice having in PC, even though I'm not sure it would make sense for this to be a PC thing.  That would be to build projects that don't have a PC.project file by just running it's GNUmakefile.  I, like most people using GNUstep, build all packages from source and would appreciate not having to open a terminal.  PC already builds software from their GNUmakefile anyway, so my not not need a PC.project file?

Anyway, that's just an idea. ; If you don't think it's a good idea to have in PC no need to worry!

I found another issue that is so insignificant it doesn't merit a bug report.  The ObjC.syntax file in the framework specifies NO's color to 1.0 1.0 1.0, which is white (against a white background you see the problem).  YES is defined to be 1.0 0.0 1.0 (pink).
