    When invoking the command laminfo, here is the output:

Also, despite the path being in the bash profile, when trying to run the lamboot command, I receive this error:

laminfo information comes from what was compiled into LAM/MPI and any plugins that it finds; none of it should be coming from a text file.

What is the incorrect information that it is printing?

I don't even know if it's necessary, but when I run the laminfo command after the 7.1.3 installation, I get some erroneous information in the output.  I am assuming that this information is coming from a configuration file that is text edited, but that may be ignorance on my part.

Forgive me for such a trivial question, but I'm just beginning to work with LAM-MPI.

It looks like you're mixing multiple versions of LAM --
laminfo shows  
version 7.1.3, but the help message is looking for 7.1.1.

Ensure that you are only accessing *one* version of LAM
consistently  
throughout your nodes; check your PATH, etc.  That will
hopefully fix  
your problem.
