List Info

Thread: query on password

Dear All,
   
  I have newly installed Redhat 9 and i have found that i
can telnet as root which i would not want.
   
  I want to disble telnet for root .
   
  so if anyone wants to telnet he has to log in as a valid
user and then su to root
   
   
  Appreciate if anyone can help

Telnet is obsolete and insecure. You should start using ssh.

I do, but I don't use passwords with it.  They're obsolete
and insecure.  ;)
