Jeremy,

I have bind v9.2 running on RHEL 4.

    #/usr/sbin/rndc flush

It still shows the old entry do i need to restart any
other service.

Regards,
Rajeshkanna

That's dependent on your version of BIND. With v8 or
previous, you'll
have to restart the BIND server. With v9, you can run
"rndc" and
issue "flush".

Not as far as I'm aware. "rdnc flush" is supposed
to flush the entire
cache. With 9.3.0, you are able to "rndc flushname
<hostname>" to
clear an individual entry. Sorry I can't be of more help.
