The following method worked to flush the cached entries.
#/usr/sbin/rndc flush
#/usr/sbin/rndc reload
#/sbin/service named restart

That's dependent on your version of BIND. With v8 or
previous, you'll
have to restart the BIND server. With v9, you can run
"rndc" and
issue "flush".
