  Can I download RedHat 5 from anonymous sites or I have to
buy 
  the SW? I would like to test the SW.

You can't download RHEL5 because it's not released yet.
You can get a free subscription license to RHEL which will
act as a 30 
day trial:

You can't download or buy it.  It is not released yet.  I
think I read
somewhere it won't be out at least until March.  You can
download beta
version from Red Hat's FTP server (ftp://ftp.redhat.com/) if
you want to
have a peek how it will look like.  Currently, RHEL 5 beta 2
is
available for download.
