Windows Syn - PassSync holds service password in clear text in registry

Yes, the password for the replication bind DN configured in
Fedora 
Directory Server must be stored in the registry on the
domain 
controller.  Why not just restrict access to the specific
registry key 
that contains the password to the "Administrator"
user?
