64-bit RHEL4 (CentOS). I'm trying to track down what changes
might have
been made. All servers run over SSL but as far as I know, no
sasl,
kerberos or gssapi. None have mysql with SASL (or mysql at
all). I'm
asking all our ops people if they installed anything ...

Vista vs XP development MDAC question

My machine is running XP pro. We have an application that
uses MDAC 2.8
One of the references is to MDAC 2.8 Security.....dll On
the Vista
machines, they do not have this. They have MDAC 6.0
Security.... Dll

What I can find on the web says that these are essentially
the same, one
is just for Vista. The problem is that it won't compile on
my Vista
machines because it is looking for the 2.8 instead of 6.0.
There does
not appear to be a 6.0 download for XP.

So my question is has anyone else run into this? Any ideas
how to get
this to compile no mater what O/S the developer machine is
running.
