Hi Matthias,
Regarding the ati-x11-drv package, I think you need to
create links
in /usr/X11R6/%/modules/dri for the DRI modules in
%/dri
(32 and 64 bits), because the full path is hard coded in
libGL.so.1.2.
Also, the file packages/Fedora/authatieventsd.sh should be
installed in
%/ati for the atieventsd daemon to be fully
functional, as
it grants/revokes access to X.

Oh? This is confusing, since I initially had the module
inside the xorg
modules/dri/ directory, but saw errors in Xorg.0.log about
no being
able to dlopen the module from %/dri/ ...
And the /usr/X11R6/... path is really hardcoded? That would
be ugly,
since /usr/X11R6 isn't supposed to be used anymore :-(
Have you made these changes and confirm that they indeed fix
the
problems?

and confirm
that it fixes the problem?
