Well, support on <R600 is "unofficial", but on
Phoronix they claim that
it works without problems.
On my laptop with an Xpress 1150, it's plain crap. It killed
rhgb, but
while X.org seems to load fine, and glxinfo reports working
direct
rendering, every application trying to use OpenGL segfaults.
Even
fgl_glxinfo, their own test program. Plus, there's very
annoying
graphical corruption around the mouse cursor. And not to
mention,
suspend/hibernate don't work.
This is on x86_64, I don't know if the situation is
different on i386...
I wonder if AMD will ever manage to provide a working driver
for F7
x86_64... Good that they're releasing their specs, their
driver is just
shameful.
