A question about xdm

Hi to all,

watching the official spec for 2007.0, i noticed that xdm is
not  
being added to the default runlevel;
In my custom livecd, I add this option to livecd-spec2 to
autostart gdm.

How do you handle this? is the livecd/xdm setting assigned
also to  
this (else then selecting the login manager)?
