Hello,

I'm trying to install a G/FreeBSD on vmware and I have a
problem with
python. When I chroot and I try to run emerge, I have this
error coming
from python:

(python2.4), uid 0: exited on signal 11 (core dumped)

I use gentoo-freebsd-6.0-stage-20060423.tar.bz2 and I have
tried with
FreeSBIE-1.0-i386.iso and FreeSBIE-1.1-i386.iso without
success.

Is there anybody who could help me ?

Thanks

Cédric

Those two cds do not have a 6.0 kernel, which is required
for a
Gentoo/FreeBSD 6.0 installation. Gentoo's guide for
installation[1]
suggest that you use an experimental FreeSBIE[2], if you
want to fiddle
with 6.0.
