Hello!

Ive been using Gentoo on my laptop for a while now, and been
very
pleased i must say.

But i really miss a really good videoplayer for it, i often
watch short
videoclips people post in R/C forums, and they are always in
different
formats, like .avi, .mpg and .wmv.

cant seem to find a good player that supports all of them.

Im using mplayer now, it seems that mplayer supports many
formats, but
it doesnt support .wmv, not vlc either!

Do you have some tips on a nice player?

Thanks!

//Daniel

Check for mplayer's USE flags. In particular, you can enable
WMW/WMA
by adding 'win32codecs' to them.

As for the GUI player, look on GXine... It's not bad.
