Hi guys!
I've found that with the new release of the nvidia drivers
(100.14.19) is it
possible to enable the "OnDemandVBlankInterrupts"
option. In 2D mode VBLANK
is not used, only in a 3D mode. The old driver was
generating these
interrupts in all modes, now, by enabling this option,
interrupts are
generated only when they are needed. This let us save about
60 wakes up from
idle per second. You can fuond the new drivers on the ~x86
repo. The only
thing you have to do after installing the 100.14.19 version
is to put in
your "Device" section of your xorg.conf the
option
"OnDemandVBlankInterrupts" "true".
I hope this could be useful for someone.
