Without knowing what the original color looked like,
it is hard to fix the image for you, but there are
lots of tools you can try. Open the image, from the
image top-bar menu pull down Layers => Colors, and
try some of the tools shown there. I tried using
the Hue-Saturation tool on your image, and just
moved the hue slider 14 units positive. The image no
longer has an orange cast, but that may not be what
you want.

The Layers => Curves tool may also be useful, though
it would have been easier to subdue the color if it
had been red or green instead of a mix, and, as
another correspondent recommended, the Layers =>
Color Balance tool may also work for you.

All of these tools are a bit "fiddly", it may take
you a long time to find the setting you want.

A more direct approach is just to subtract out some
orange.

Open the image, put a new, white layer above the
image layer using the layers dialog, fill that white
layer with (#xff8800) orange, set the layer mode for
the orange layer from "Normal" to "Subtract" and set
the layer opacity for the orange layer from "100%"
to "40%". [I was _really_ surprised it took that
high a setting!] This gives a very creditable color
to at least the wood portions of your example image,
though I cannot guess whether the result is at all
what you want; it comes out a bit dark, but the
";Lightness" control of the "Hue Saturation
Lightness" tool may then let you overcome that
problem in turn.
