This is irrelevant on Windows, since it's window manager
supports this
style of management. Actually, there's evan a plug-in for
the GIMP, which
combines all of it's windows inside a parent window, though
it's a bit

Clumsy depends on the user, and how it's implemented. I
myself find MacOS
UI unusable, and much prefer a clean MDI interface to having
my (virtual)
desktops cluttered with windows.
