I'm not clear about this.

Hmmmm ....
I found this in gimp+gtk-install-script-20061018[1]gpl.rtf
== Installation
GIMP 2.3 must not be installed in the same directory as other GIMP 2.x
versions. If you want to keep your GIMP 2.2 or GIMP 2.0 installation
in parallel to GIMP 2.3, you have to choose a separate installation
directory.

so I'm OK with that (I think). What I haven't found is any discussion
of what version of GTK+ is required for Gimp 2.13 and how (if
different than that for Gimp 2.2.x) Gimp 2.13 is told where to find
*ITS* GTK+
I've got gtk+-2.10.13-setup.exe which installed itself by default to:
C:Program FilesCommon FilesGTK2.0
Just in case I missed something ... now trying uninstall/reinstall of
Gimp 2.3 ....
Reinstall ...
Checking the buglists mentioned I see:
436242 depend on GTK+ 2.10.13 (I s/b ok on this now? since I had just
installed GTK+ 2.10.13 though it wasn't in the first time I installed
Gimp 2.3.18)
OK ... Installer says Full includes GTK+ 2.10.11 but above bug
requires GTK 2.10.13!
I've tried installing Gimp 2.13.18 both with and w/o GTK (hoping that
if installed w/o GTK it would somehow(?) find the GTK+ 2.10.13 in
Common Files - NO JOY - same [gimp exe barfs and dies without helpful
messages]
Question - am I on the right track? if so how (if possible?) do I get
Gimp 2.13.18 to see the correct GTK+. I'm hoping there is some control
file that can be tweaked?
Regards .... Alec
