I'm a bit confused as to exactly what you're doing. Are you trying to
install fonts via GIMP?
GIMP cannot install fonts onto your machine. It can only make use of
fonts already installed.
You need to install fonts either via Windows font utility
(Start>Settings>Control Panel>Fonts>File>Install New Font) or via a font
management utility, e.g., Adobe Type Manager or Extensis Suitcase.
Once the fonts are installed in Windows, Gimp can use them.

Was this the problem?

It seems everytime I try to install a font, to try touse it for any reason, that I maight want to use such a font for, that my GIMP Program sends me the following: GIMP Message: "Infalid UTF-8 data in file C: Documents and SettingsJoseph FariasDesktopPALEB___.TTF.' " , or whatever the name of the particular font is that I have chosen. I can not seem to find the correct command prompt, or Gimp font installing device, or what have you, that will let me move past that, so that I can install, and use my font(s) for whatever I might choose to install, and use them for. Anybody out there able to be of any assistance? I certainly woul d appreciate any help I could receive towards resolving this pesky problem, so that I can begin making use ofmy GIMP Program, and thoroug hly enjoying, it as I

Can GIMP display a JPEG's exit data?

The subject line kind of says it all. Can GIMP display the
exif data that is included in the jpeg file created by my
digital camera?

Better yet, can it modify the exif information?

I've looked a little bit at the various menu items and
nothing jumped out that clearly said "Display exif
information".
