Wow, thanks but I'm not too keen about this software yet and I'm at a loss as to how to apply the sparkle to a certain section of my photo. I found the filter/plug in called sparkle but I don't know how to apply it to the picture...............wish I could find someone in town to help me do this-- for 6 months I have searched for someone who knows photoshop but noone knows how to apply a sparkle to the diamond in the picture.....................

Amending my last recipe, it works better to
diminish the sparkle if between growing the
inverse selection by 1, and clearing the
inverse selection, you do, using the image
menu:
Select=>Feather (by 2.0)
This leaves a better looking, smaller sparkle
flare.
