in another photo as below br>
1) I use my old mac ibook to open the Gimp 2.2 with x11 and then
in the Gimp open I select New and then save the blank file as
jpg format file.

2) After that I open the NeoOfficeJ word processor software and then
open the blank jpg format file.

3. After I open the jpg file in NeoOfficeJ then I choose the insert
text and character function in the selection bar.

4. I finish to type the chinese characters with different color and
then saved as pdf format file im my old mac ibook.

5. I use the Gimp 2.2 to open the pdf file but it does not work.

6. I use firework cable to connect my old mac to new mac.

7. I copy the saved pdf format file to the new mac macbook with
Gimp 2.4. and then I open the pdf file, it work OK!

8. In Gimp 2.4 I can save the pdf chinese characters file in
in different format just as xcf , png or jpg.

9. I use rotate function in the toolbox to rotating the chinese
characters.

different colors.

11. and then I use copy and paste to another image , it work fine
but after paste the background color of the another image

Can any one tell me how to fix this problem???

Well, this is the gimpwin-users list. the "win" part refers to
Windows. Are you running Windows on your macbook?

What an extremely complicated procedure. For me, on (English) Windows,
to add text in any random language in some script (Chinese, Greek,
Hebrew etc) that Windows supports, it is enough to just switch to a
keyboard layout for that language and input the text (using an IME if
the language in question uses an IME) into GIMP's normal text tool.

(Not all Windows installations have necessarily been configured to
have support for multiple keyboard layouts and IMEs, or for other
codepages than a minimal set needed for the language of the Windows
version. But that is not GIMP's problem.)

It does, very much so.

GIMP works fine with Chinese characters on Windows, as far as I can
see, and presumably on most sensibly configured Linux systems too. If
it doesn't support Chinese text on Mac, complain to the people who
ported it to the Mac.

Hmm. I am not sure I understand what you are saying here, but I guess
it must be some old Chinese proverb.

Oh. Is that an euphemism for spam? I am so impressed.
