change of timestamp

Hi,

I was just wondering, is there any way to change the time on
E-mails so
that it says that I sent it earlier or later than the actual
time? (if
it's 6 AM right now, and I want it to say that it was sent
at 4 AM, for
example)

Not on Gmail is this possible. It is possible if you run
your own mail server.

Man, you really are cranky. Also, Jordan's answer is only
correct if
you are talking about the timestamp that appears in Gmail if
you use
the web interface. I don't think that was the original
poster's
question.

Yes, I was just talking about the timestamp that appears in
Gmail, not
in any other mail services (so if I were to send an E-mail
from my
Gmail account to a friend's Gmail account). Let's say the
person
actually received the E-mail at 6 AM, but I want the
timestamp to read
3 hours earlier than that time.
