Reporting *messages* not conversations as spam

I'm signed up to a few google groups, and I've noticed
that spammers
have started sending replies to messages in the groups, with
a
particular focus on one particular website. When they get in
my GMail
Inbox, the spam messages are mixed in with real message. I
know I can
delete messages from a conversation individually, but is
there any way
to report an individual message as spam so I can keep the
rest of the
conversation intact?

Well, there is a way to try to keep spam out of google
groups. Go to
the the item in Google Groups (click on the link in the
message to do
this). Find the individual message in the Google group, and
click on
"show options", then click on "report
abuse". Make sure "This post is
spam" is checked, explain in the text box, and
click "Report Abuse".
