Merge old and new Google account information

Hi

I got a GMail account  6 days ago although I had for some
time had a
Google account.
As soon as I got my GMail account, the Google account
username/password
(Yahoo email) I had been using for posting to Google Groups
changed
such that my username became the GMail address.
While this was fine, it had some unexpected and awkward
consequences:

1. I no longer receive alerts for new posts made to threads
in which I
had been active
2. It is no longer an easy matter to locate the threads in
which I was
involved (or even initiated in many cases)
3. The total number of posts in My Profile was reset to
zero.

What is interesting is that my nickname has remained exactly
the same
as it was with my old Google Account username/password.

Can anybody suggest how I can merge the information from my
OLD Google
account into my NEW account?

Thanks Ryan.
Actually I did email Google Help and they don't know
either. Looks like
I'm going to have to live with this (relatively minor)
inconvenience.

That's a very interesting question... I'm sure plenty of
gmailettes
(myself included) would LOVE to know the answer.
