I've set up several Labels in my gmail. I've also set the
filters so
that all the labeled email should be bypassing the Inbox and
going
straight to STARRED. However it is not. Every one of them
comes
directly to the Inbox regardless. Also, how do I get the
labeled/starred email out of my Inbox and into STARRED? I
don't want
to clog up my Inbox with my starred, labeled, filtered
emails.

Thanks for any ideas!

Starred is not a separate folder. You want to make sure you
check "skip
the inbox" on the filter; the "starred"
classification is just going to
highlight that message irrespective of where it is (archive,
inbox, or
trash).

maybe you should test if your filters are properly set up
(if your
filtering criterias are what you meant them to be).

i got some problems with filters too. i have few filters
like "from
**** skip inbox apply label". but sometimes the label
is applied but
it is in my inbox.
that's kinda mystery
