Does it end up in your spam folder?
I'd just keep hitting the "report spam" button
if it ends up in your
inbox... google's filters seem to adapt pretty well to new
spam.

Notice any patterns (Common subjects or mailers) and apply a spam filter. (Setings > Filters) Try opening the email and clicking 'unsubscribe' at the bottom or top. For me, most 'spam' comes from websites I gave my email out to.

I'd discourage following processes outlined in spam for unsubscribing since at least in my experiences completing those processes actually only confirms for them that your address is valid and being read by a human and thus'll likely only cause you to get more spam unfortunately
