I am being sent a huge load of spam msgs all of a sudden,
never had a
problem till now and ive been a gmail user since the invites
were 1st
introduced.
I am getting loads of spam mail about rubbish that has
nothing to do
with me!
Was just wondering if anyone could help me out, either to
just divert
the spam to a diff account (but all the spam is from diff
people and
mail accounts)
or just a different way of stopping the spam without
creating a
different account cos i was happy with the one ive got as it
holds all
my contacts (which i know i can move easily), all my past
mail, all my
lables and old convos etc.
anyone with any advice plz leave a msg
Many thanks
Pete

Try the *BlueFrog* from http://www.bluesecurity.
com/ - Its an extension
for Firefox, and can help reduce spam to your gmail, hotmail
and yahoo
webmail services.
After restarting firefox, you'll be asked to install a
software, no
need to do that unless you are using an email client to get
your mails.
I read all my mails online, so there is no need for me to
install the
app.
You'll need to create an account there. Can add upto 3
emails to be
protected this way. Read the Documentation at the site for
info about
how it all works.
Users have reported upto 90% reduction in spam mails. It
*may* do
wonders for you!

Actually, installing the app is a must if you want to make
sure
spammers leave you in peace. The desktop application is 100%
automatic,
so it does not require any effort from the user.

His point was that if you read your e-mail online the app
isn't
needed, only if you use a program like Lookout.
