A great (IMHO) improvement idea regarding attachment filtering

I read one of the tricks GMail uses to save space, is to
keep all
similar attachments in a single copy on its servers, which
got me
thinking...

We all get videos, powerpoints, etc from different sources
and find it
out only after we download and read them,

Wouldnt it be great to receive an e-mail with an attachment
such as;

attachment - received and read on the Jan-23 from
johnDoegmail.com, ,
click here to download, click here to read original message

This way I'd know I already saw this stupid commercial, and
wouldn't
waste time re-viwing it again.

What say you?
