some encoding errors in japanese gmail

Hi, when I receive an email from docomo, the subject of the
email gets
some strange letters rather than the Japanese text. I can
read the text
of the email just fine. I tried various encoding
(Japanese-EUC, etc)
available at Firefox, but they do not work. Please advise.
