Consolidating accounts

I have four different e-mail accounts(addresses), teddy4050yahoo, teddy4050gmail, teddy.4050hotmail and teddy4050clearwire. I want to be able to check them all from one place and eventually select one(the best) and get rid of the rest. This POP thing isn't clear to me and I can't seem to get it going. I'd like to be able to check my e-mail at Yahoo for now because that's the address most people use. When I do change(if I change to just gmail), do I have to write everyone in my address book to let them know I have a new address? I still haven't been able to send a message from gmail...Don't make fun of me, I already feel so dumb. Should I just switch to gmail now? --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Gmail-Users" group. There is no need to feel dumb. ; I don't know about clearwire, because I have never heard of them, but I know for yahoo and hotmail, you have to have a paid account in order to enable POP or forwarding.  Your best bet may be to set up an auto-reply at three of the four accounts to tell people that you are changing your email address.  For the first few weeks, this will probably require you to check the other accounts so you don't miss any email, but after a while, I would think that everyone would catch on and stop mailing you there.

I would suggest using GMail as your main email address for several reasons.
  1. You have  a crazy amount of storage.
  2. You can use POP and fowarding
  3. Labels are so much better and more flexible than folders
  4. Built in chat
  5. Conversations view
  6. It's all free
