Is there something I'm missing when it comes to putting photos into e-mail? I don't mean adding files as attachments, I want to be able to put images directly into messages. Oddly enough, I seem to be able to do it if I can Copy some text alongside and image, Paste the mixed data, then delete the text. But, why can't you (or how do you) Paste an image directly?
Also, what's with the semi-invisible diagram locator boxes with the little boxes on the corners and midway points along the sides? Can these be manipulated on a less than trial-and-error basis?
T hanks in advance!

Your problem likely is caused by the way your browser is handling copy and paste. Essentially when you are pasting into Gmail, you are pasting the HTML code behind what you copied, not the actual stuff itself. If you are trying to get an image by just right clicking on it, selecting "Copy Image," and then pasting it into the body of the message, Gmail is unable to handle it correctly because it isn't HTML.
Something like that, anyways.

It's closed HTML, embedded into Ajax. Browser can't handle
that
pasting properly, apparently.
