HELP .. gmail account hacked, Gmail are doing nothing!!

I've reported it via the web form twice now but yet the
account is
still being used ... had an email from the hacker today
demanding
money before he abuses my information some more.

He's already got my Ebay account (they're being VERY slow to
do
anything about it) .. all I want to do is get it shut down,
and fast.

Does anyone have any idea how I can get this done quickly? 
Don't even
want it back, just want it disabled and fast.

Have you started by changing your password, reminder
questions, etc?

Forget the email, and focus on your eBay account, or any
account
attached to your email address : modify these accounts to
change the
email so that your hacker doesn't get access to them.

I would do that as far as possible if I were you.

And inform your contacts about your email loss, giving them
your new
email address.

He never mentioned that they changed his password on him.
However, I
should have assumed that.

They emailed me FROM my hacked gmail account .. my work
email address
was in my contact list.

Weeks later they did at least suspend the account but I've
not been
contacted to re-activate it so I've written this one off and
got
myself a .mac account .. at least I can speak to someone in
person if
the worst should happen again.

It's taught me to keep my important passwords more secure
though and
to NEVER have the same password for multiple accounts.
