New button: Mark as read

I know you can select mails and use the dropdown/select to
"mark as
read", but I'd be superduper fantastically wingledingle
happy if it
was offered as a button instead (or in addition). Its way
simpler to
just mark couple of mails and press a single button. YES, I
know its
just one less click, but regardless...

Anyone agree?

There's a greasemonkey script (which I use on two of my
machines) that
adds one.  It's a variation on the "Smart Delete"
button script which
used to exist prior to GMail adding their own Delete button.
 You can
find it by googling "Smart Delete GMail
Greasemonkey".

Though, there *IS* a greasemonkey script (GMail Macros) that
adds one
(in addition to other keyboard shortcuts) for those keyboard
jockeys
who don't want the button.
