I agree with you, and i work in a sensitive area myself.
What I implimended at my company was a policy of handeling
email,
meaning, a time to work with email, it works like this, 9am
to 910 for
mail, 10 to 1010 for mail, and so on, and after every
session , to log
off, everytime, everyone was briefed, and must follow my
orders . we
treat email just like a paper file, with care and
diligence.
mistakes will happen, but in the end you will get smothered
by all the
levels of security....just log off is the Law...keep
smiling

I understand need for a password list that you keep saved in
gmail.  I
do the same thing.  However, to me it seems pretty stupid to
just
store it in an email.  I keep mine in a word document that I
password
protected and then I emailed the word document to myself.
